Our annual membership fee structure for the 2024/25 season ensures that all members can continue to benefit from our supportive and inclusive swimming community. These fees play a crucial role in sustaining the day-to-day running of the club, covering essential costs such as pool hire, lifeguards, and the dedicated coaching provided by Blackpool Council. Our fees also contribute to the upkeep of vital pool equipment, insurance, and the ongoing training of our volunteers, allowing us to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all swimmers.
We have an annual membership fee structure for the 2024/25 season, set as follows:
- Single Membership: £110.00 – covers the member and ONE carer
- Double Membership: £165.00 – for families with two disabled swimmers
- Triple Membership: £220.00 – for families with three disabled swimmers
Our fees cover 12 months starting from 1st April each year and are expected to be paid within six weeks. We understand that meeting this deadline may not always be possible, and we are here to accommodate. In such cases, the Chair (Swimming & Social Committee) or Treasurer may agree to extend the payment period individually, subject to annual review.
For new members joining after 1st October, a 50% reduction will apply to the membership fee.
Please note that no refunds will be issued if a member chooses not to participate after paying fees or if their membership is suspended or terminated.
Membership fees contribute towards the costs of pool hire, lifeguards, and coaches provided by Blackpool Council. They also cover insurance, pool equipment, affiliation fees, and the training of our volunteers, ensuring a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for our members.
Additional costs may apply for participation in club galas and other swimming competitions. These are specific to each event and may include the cost of medals, travel, and other expenses. No refunds will be made if the individual decides not to participate in an event after paying.
Charges are also applied for parties and trips organised throughout the year. Registered members usually receive a discounted rate, but total costs will apply for additional family members and carers attending the event. Again, no refunds will be given if the member or their family chooses not to attend.
We rely on fundraising to cover the costs of running the club. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the committee members and volunteers who gave up their Sunday mornings and worked tirelessly on our fundraising efforts. Your past support has been invaluable, and we hope for your continued support in our raffles, prize draws, and annual sponsored swim events.
Your help and participation make a real difference.
