About Us

Our history, contacts, our supporters and some of our key affiliations

The Blackpool Polar Bears is a registered charity and swimming club with a clear mission: to promote swimming for individuals with disabilities. Everyone, regardless of ability, should have the opportunity to enjoy the physical, mental, and social benefits of swimming. Our club provides a safe, inclusive, supportive environment where members can develop their swimming skills, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.

Our swimming sessions are held every Sunday at Moor Park Swimming Pool from 8:55 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Members are allocated swimming times based on their abilities, ensuring that each person gets the most out of their time in the pool. With the help of our dedicated team of volunteers, we tailor our sessions to meet the unique needs of every swimmer, allowing them to progress at their own pace.
